Parental Involvement
Dandenong South Primary School is committed to building strong partnerships with our parent community. Involvement in schools by parents and carers helps children achieve the best possible learning outcomes. Parents are encouraged to participate in our DSPS school life, both formally and informally, through school councils, attending important school events, parent fundraising meetings and volunteering.
We strongly encourage parents to support our school programs. Parents are also invited to deepen learning in the classroom through being a parent volunteer. There are limitless possibilities for parent involvement, creating a greater sense of community and improving links between home and school. If you are interested in volunteering, you will be asked to apply for a Working with Children (WWC) check, and sign the school’s Code of Conduct. For more information about the WWC check, see: Working with Children
